In 2002, he made his series debut at South Boston, where an impressive qualifying effort in his family-owned car landed him 19th on the grid. A late crash by Pistone landed him in 26th.
In 2003, Pistone returned, this time driving for Brevak Racing. After qualifying the truck in 31st, Pistone once again finished 26th, this time completing all but eight laps. Pistone has not raced in NASCAR since.
