Tom Hessert, born April 1, 1951 in Trenton, NJ, is a former NASCAR driver. He did not compete in NASCAR often, and disappeared from the sport without notice.
Hessert made only one start in his career, coming in 1982, driving for Buck Baker. He started 35th and finished 31st in the thirty-six car field at Pocono. He fell out on lap eight, and it was his only start.
Hessert ran three Busch Series starts in 1993, an amazing eleven years after his first appearance in NASCAR. In his series debut, he started 34th and finished 38th at Rockingham after engine woes. He set his best career qualifying effort of 31st at Nazareth and then the next race at Dover, Hessert finished a career-best 24th.
