TNN (The Nashville Network 1983-2000) aka The National Network/The New TNN (2000-2003) and now known as Spike TV was one of the key networks in covering NASCAR during the 1980's and 1990's. Founded by Gaylord Entertainment Company and Group W Satellite Communications on March 7, 1983 it is now owned by Viacom and no longer shows motorsports of any kind.

TNN covered about seven Winston Cup races a year from 1983-2000, including races at Rockingham, Charlotte and Loudon, as well as the first night race at Daytona broadcasting the Pepsi 400 live on October 17, 1998. They also broadcasted a number of Busch Series races as well.
