Ken Weaver from Dallas, TX drives the 20 PhoneCo / Industrial Lightspeed Chevrolet in the ARCA stock car series. He ran in NASCAR in 2004 and 2005, before returning back to ARCA.

Craftsman Truck Series Career

Weaver has 24 career starts in the Truck Series. Running his #20 PhoneCo Chevy, Weaver made his debut in the 2003 race at Mesa Marin Speedway. It was a decent first race, as Weaver started 26th and finished 29th. However, Weaver improved. In three of the next four races, Weaver finished in the top-20, highlighted by a career best of 15th coming at California.

Those runs earned him a new ride in 2004, driving a Green Light Racing #08 Chevy, with funding from PhoneCo. He only had a best of 18th at Texas and by midseason, Weaver was scaled down to a limited schedule. Weaver even got off on the wrong foot quickly, causing quite a few wrecks at Daytona. However, Weaver did manage a new career best start of 16th at Milwaukee Mile.

Weaver continued to race in the trucks in 2005. This time at Daytona, scored his first career top-10 with a 6th at Daytona. Weaver did make three more races in 2005. He didn't finish two of the three races, and his best finish was a 28th at Atlanta. With the poor runs, Weaver left the team and headed back to ARCA full-time.

ARCA Career

Since joining the series in 2002, Weaver had been a decent driver, earning mid-pack results. However, recently, in 2005 and 2006, Weaver has improved significantly, highlighted by a 2nd place finish at Salem Speedway late in 2005. He will pilot the #20 PhoneCo Dodge for the full 2006 season.
