Joel Stowe is a former NASCAR driver from Waxhaw, NC. He competed in four Nextel Cup events in his career, spanning from 1980-1982.

Stowe debuted in 1980, running two Nextel Cup events that year. He debuted at Dover, starting 33rd and ending up with a respectable 18th place finish. Stowe was even able to top that later in the year at North Wilkesboro, when he started 26th and ended up with a career-best 16th place showing.

Stowe returned to action for one race in 1981, when Stowe raced at Bristol. He started last (30th) and was only able to improve to 29th due to the black flag. It would be the first race that Stowe did not finish. Stowe ran in the Daytona 125s in 1982 but fe lled to make the 500 Stowe's last race came in 1982, when he raced for D.K. Ulrich at North Wilkesboro. Despite earning a career-best 22nd place start, an oil pan issue would force Stowe out of the race. The 27th place finish would be his last run of his career.
