Harry Goularte (July 29, 1956 - ) a former NASCAR driver from Morgan Hill, CA. In addition to a solid West Series career, Goularte competed in eight Sprint Cup Series events.

Sprint Cup[]

Goularte's Cup races mainly came in West Series - Cup Series combination events, including his debut in 1977 at Riverside. Starting 33rd in the field of thirty-five, Goularte used his local skills to record a respectable 21st place finish.

Goularte stepped it up to a two-race Cup schedule in 1978, competing first Riverside in June. That race was another solid one for the driver, completing all but seven laps to finish in 20th. Unfortunately, he didn't fare as well in his first trip to Ontario. Engine issues there left him 33rd.

Goularte only made one Cup race during the 1979 season, competing yet again at Riverside. Starting 33rd in the field of thirty-five, Goularte once again just pulled together a respectable mid-pack run, placing 23rd.

Goularte did not return to the Cup circuit for a number of years, finally making his return with the Riverside event during June 1984. Another solid mid-pack run in that race left him in 22nd, but a grinding crash during the November Riverside event ended his day early and left him 31st.

Goularte's final two races came during the 1987 season, when he yet again competed in both Riverside races. He continued his history of running well in the June event, completing all but three laps to finish in 20th. Unfortunately, his career ended on a sour note, with Goularte breaking a suspension in the November race to finish 32nd.
