Gene Christensen is a NASCAR owner and former NASCAR driver from Garland, TX. He co-owns GreenLight Racing with Bobby Dotter. The team has been in existance since 2000.
Christensen also raced six times in the 2001 Craftsman Truck Series, all for the #07 GreenLight Chevy. He started 35th and finished 36th in his debut at Texas and his results didn't really improve. His best run would turn out to be the next race at Memphis, where he started 30th and finished there. After a 32nd, Christensen finished his driving career with three straight 35th-place finishes.
In June 2007, he announced his candidacy for the U.S. Representative seat in Texas.
