Fayetteville Motor Speedway

Cumberland Speedway opened as a half-mile, high-banked asphalt oval, adjacent to Interstate 95. Dale Earnhardt won twice there in 1978 before launching his full-time NASCAR career the following season. The track's asphalt was later torn up, and the track is still in operation today as a 4/10ths-mile dirt track under the name Fayetteville Motor Speedway <A href="http://www.fayettevillemotorspeedway.net</A>.
