Elgin Holmes (September 6, 1923 - July 9, 1983) was a NASCAR driver from Lancaster, CA. He competed in three Nextel Cup Series events in his career.

Holmes debuted in 1956, competing at his home track of Lancaster. Starting 35th in the field of thirty-seven, Holmes fell nine laps down and finished 24th.

Holmes returned to the Lancaster track in 1957, starting 22nd this go round. Unfortunately, Holmes was unable to complete the race due to an early clutch issue and finished 29th.

Holmes best race would come in his career finale, competing at Sacramento in 1958. Starting 12th in the field of twenty-eight, Holmes fell just nine laps down in the race and recorded a career-best 15th place run.
