Columbia Speedway was a half-mile oval hosting NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races from 1951 to 1971. It was only paved before its two last races in 1971.

July 5 2010-- Columbia International Speedway is not dead but very alive. It has been transformed from a forest of pines back into the pristine track he was in her heyday. is responsible for this venture and the track had over 30,000 visitors the first year it was reopened so the old gal is not dead but very alive.
