</center> The 2000 Busch 200 was a Busch Series event held at New Hampshire International Speedway on May 13, 2000. Tim Fedewa won the race from the pole, holding off Jeff Green. Green, in turn, held an 83-point championship lead on Todd Bodine following the event. However, it was a very sober weekend for everyone. Adam Petty became the first driver since John Nemechek to lose his life in a NASCAR race. The promising youngster died in a head-on practice crash.
