- Todd Bodine and Darrell Waltrip both made their series debut with great success. Bodine finished 4th in his Roush Racing Ford and Waltrip sixth in his Ken Schrader Racing Chevy. Another notable debut goes to Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports. He was running in the top twenty before transmission troubles took him out. Davy Jones and Bob Jones (no relation) and Mark Simo made their inaugural starts.
- Tommy Archer's 10th place finish would be his first career top-ten in his second career start. It would prove to be his only top-ten of his career.
- Terry Labonte's 3rd place finish would prove to be his worst finish in three 1995 starts.
