The 1972 Southeastern 500 was a Winston Cup (now Nextel Cup) event that occured at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 9, 1972. Bobby Allison won from the pole, leading 458 of the 500 laps in route to a four-lap victory on Bobby Isaac. Eventual '72 champ Richard Petty finished third in the race. Stats
